Media Marketplaces

Tourism Nova Scotia participates in a number of events and in-market activities to create awareness of Nova Scotia as a destination amongst travel writers and travel publications. These opportunities offer a unique chance to highlight Nova Scotia’s sellable products and experiences, while building relationships with key media influencers. Our staff discuss opportunities for the province in formal forums, such as one-on-one appointments, and at other events during these events.

The programs and costs vary and are subject to change. Some are open to industry partners. All costs are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise specified. Here are some of our recent and upcoming shows:

Travel Media Association of Canada Annual Conference & Marketplace (TMAC)

Location: Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia
Description: Canadian travel media meet in one-on-one pre-scheduled appointments
Who should attend: Attractions, events, accommodations and destination marketing organizations. Association membership is required to attend.
Cost: Registration fee approx. $1,100 plus accommodation and travel costs.

Go Media Marketplace

Location: Montreal, Quebec
Description: International media from Destination Canada’s core markets meet in one-on-one pre-scheduled appointments. Destination Canada’s in-market representatives also attend this information to collection information on Canadian products.

Cost: Registration fee approx. $3,000 plus accommodation and travel costs.
