CCH’s Festival & Community Event Funding Program Deadline: February 28

The Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage (CCH) is accepting applications for the Festival & Community Event Development Program until February 28, 2018. Review the eligibility questionnaire to find out if your festival or event is eligible to apply.

The program was revised last year to better reflect the needs of events and to align with CCH’s mandate and Nova Scotia’s Culture Action Plan. This realignment is part of CCH’s commitment to events. In the coming months, CCH will develop an event strategy to deliver on a key action of the Culture Action Plan.

The Nova Scotia Government is committed to developing a strategic, government-wide approach to the development, attraction and funding of events. Events showcase the province’s sport, culture, heritage and competitive advantages to national and international audiences and can make significant economic and social impacts.

Applications can be submitted in person or by mail to CCH’s offices by February 28, 2018 (electronic submissions will not be accepted).
