Tourism Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that Jeff Shute will be joining our team as the new Chief Operating Officer, effective November 26, 2018.
Jeff has significant government and Crown experience and comes to us from Develop Nova Scotia as their Vice President of Finance and Administration. Jeff graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a Commerce degree, and then acquired his Chartered Accountant designation from the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy in Halifax. Jeff has over 25 years combined experience in both the private and public sector, including 10 years as Director of Policy and Finance for the Department of Municipal Affairs.
Michael Johnson is retiring after serving as Chief Operating Officer since Tourism Nova Scotia was established as a Crown corporation in 2015. Tourism Nova Scotia is grateful to Michael for his leadership over the past few years.
