Provincial Program Offers Assistance for Accessibility-Related Improvements

The Nova Scotia government, through the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage, invites tourism businesses to apply for the Small Business ACCESS-Ability Program. The program’s funding can help with improvements so that your products and services are accessible to all people, regardless of their physical limitations, disabilities or age.

The program offers cost-shared grants for accessibility-related improvements for clients, customers, and employees. The five funding categories include:

• Built environment

• Accessible Communication Services

• Assistive Devices

• Universal Design Capacity Building

• Accessible Transportation

Companies interested in improving accessibility to all visitors should read the eligibility guidelines before applying online.
