Distribute Brochures and Guides

Nova Scotia tourism operators and tourism-related organizations are invited to provide brochures, regional travel guides and related literature to visitor information centres (VICs) to be distributed to visitors.

Brochures and guides can be shipped directly to our provincial VIC in Amherst, as well as to regional and community VICs.

All travel publications must be free of charge, duty free and shipped to the site prepaid. Collect or COD shipments will not be accepted. When sending your travel publications by trucking/courier companies, ensure they offer door-to-door service. VICs are not equipped to unload shipments, accept pallets or large quantities of literature unless pre-arranged. For ease of handling we suggest bundling brochures/guides and securing with elastics or strings in quantities of 50 or 100.

Community/Regional Visitor Information Centres

Prior to shipping travel publications to the Amherst VIC or community VICs, please contact the VIC directly to verify site opening dates, brochure guidelines and shipping requirements, as this may differ by location. Some centres may have restrictions on what types of travel publications they will accept (i.e.: specific to the region or community).

Please note, community VIC information is updated when it is provided to us at the beginning of each season.
