Voice of the Visitor Survey Program

Work with Tourism Nova Scotia to gain insights about visitors’ perspectives on issues that are important to your business or organization.

Partners in the Voice of the Visitor Survey Program can submit up to 10 questions to be included on an online survey administered by Tourism Nova Scotia. Questions will reflect partners’ research needs and interests and can range from questions about visitors’ experience at a specific attraction or destination, to experience concept evaluation, to broader visitor travel motivators. There is no cost to participate.

Selected partners will:

  • Work with Tourism Nova Scotia and our market research partner to craft questions to effectively derive the feedback you are seeking
  • Be part of an online survey distributed to members of Tourism Nova Scotia’s Online Advisory Panel made up of past visitors from across Canada, the United States and overseas
  • Receive a custom Power Point report including analysis of the results, as well as data tables

How to Participate

To participate in an upcoming Voice of the Visitor survey, apply with your proposed research topic and a general idea of your questions. Question styles are typically a combination of yes/no, multiple choice or rating-scale questions. Open-ended questions may also be asked.

The Voice of the Visitor Survey Program is open to tourism businesses and organizations, event organizers, community associations, chambers of commerce, academic organizations, and government partners.

Applications for the 2023-24 Voice of the Visitor Survey Program are now closed.
