2026 Taste of Nova Scotia Guide: Culinary Tourism as a Catalyst for Growth

Wednesday, July 29, 2026

The release of the 2026 Taste of Nova Scotia Culinary Guide offers a strategic framework to promote the province’s hospitality and food sectors. Featuring close to 175 members, the guide directs visitors to a wide range of producers and restaurants from Yarmouth to Neils Harbour. To ensure broad reach, physical copies are distributed through visitor services, hotels and member locations.

To foster a year-round tourism economy, the guide provides a seasonal availability guide and highlights unique tours offered by local operators. It also features specialized culinary trails designed to encourage regional exploration.

Four colourful booklets

Good Cheer Trail

This trail highlights the province’s diverse beverage landscape, inviting travellers to visit stops across the province and earn prizes.

Lobster Trail

Visitors can explore coastal and inland locations to experience local seafood heritage while collecting entries for various prizes.

Chowder Trail

Visitors are encouraged to sample local varieties of a classic maritime dish at stops located throughout Nova Scotia.

Cheese Trail

Visitors can discover the province’s artisan cheese producers and earn prizes by visiting designated stops on this culinary adventure.

These trails encourage travel across the province by offering prizes to those who visit various trail stops and collect stamps along the way. Businesses are encouraged to review the digital Culinary Guide to integrate these resources into their own growth strategies: https://issuu.com/tasteofns
