ACAT US Consumer Research Results

Wednesday, January 29, 2025

According to a recent survey conducted for the Atlantic Canada Agreement on Tourism, travellers in the United States are showing strong intentions to visit Canada within the next two years.

The Tourism Industry Association of PEI (TIAPEI) commissioned Narrative Research to conduct a follow up study to the Atlantic Canada Agreement on Tourism (ACAT) 2023 US Consumer Research to:

  • Discover where visitors from the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions have recently travelled and what their mindset is for upcoming travel.
  • Learn about the awareness of, and the likelihood of visiting, each of the four Atlantic Provinces, along with motivating factors for visiting and when travellers are most likely to take a vacation.
  • Gain a better understanding of the perceived barriers to consideration for each province, for those travellers unlikely to visit Atlantic Canada.
  • Obtain insight on reactions to recall of advertising for the four individual Atlantic Provinces.

The results were presented by Margaret Brigley, CEO & Partner, Narrative Research on January 9, 2025.
