Now in its 15th year, National Tourism Week (NTW) is a weeklong social media campaign organized by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC). From April 7–11, 2025, Tourism Week is an opportunity to highlight the pivotal role tourism plays in Canada’s economy and in creating vibrant communities. TIAC, along with its partners, is inviting all Canadians to celebrate the incredible experiences our country offers the world, under the banner of NTW 2025's theme:
Canada: Powered by Tourism
Tourism creates 1 in 10 jobs nationwide, infusing the economy with over $100 billion in expenditure. In Nova Scotia, more than 50,000 people are employed in tourism and tourism revenues reached $3.5 billion last year. And tourism is more than dollars and cents. It allows us to preserve and celebrate our cultures, heritage and natural landscapes.
