Nova Scotia is celebrating our first Acadian Heritage Month and this is a great opportunity to connect visitors to the unique experiences and history of our Acadian culture. If you offer experiences and products that highlight Acadian heritage and culture, Acadian Heritage Month is a great time to promote them to visitors.

Celebrate Acadian Heritage in August

“Acadie: Discover our vibrant history” is the theme of the very first Acadian Heritage Month. In August, Nova Scotia will celebrate and recognize over 400 years of Acadian presence and contribution to the province.

It is a time to learn more about Acadian traditions, stories and culture and how they have shaped our history. Experience the Acadian pride in its heritage by attending one of the many Acadian Heritage Month events: sing along to Acadian artists during a concert, explore Acadian ancestry or visit an Acadian exhibition.

Célébrez le mois du patrimoine en août

« Acadie : une histoire vibrante à découvrir » est le thème du tout premier mois du patrimoine acadien. En août, la Nouvelle-Écosse célèbre et reconnaît plus de 400 ans de présence et contributions acadiennes à la province.

C’est le moment d’en apprendre plus sur les traditions, les histoires et la culture acadienne et comment elles ont façonné notre histoire. Découvrez la fierté des Acadiens pour leur patrimoine en participant à un des nombreux événements du mois du patrimoine acadien : chantez avec des artistes acadiens pendant un concert, explorer la généalogie acadienne, ou visitez une exposition acadienne.
