Celebrating Tourism Excellence in Nova Scotia

The Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS) hosted the 2025 Tourism Awards of Excellence as part of the closing ceremony of the 47th Annual Tourism Summit — Nova Scotia Needs Tourism. The handcrafted awards, produced by a Nova Scotia glass artisan, highlighted individuals and organizations whose contributions continue to strengthen our tourism economy.

Award Recipients
This year’s Tourism Awards of Excellence were presented to:

Captain Phil Watson – Alastair & Frances Campbell Tourism Achievement Award
Honoured for his long-standing leadership, maritime excellence, and decades of ambassadorial service through Bluenose II.

Amy and Jess Tudor – Tourism Champion Award
Recognized for outstanding commitment to advancing visitor experiences and supporting industry growth.

Lindsay Lake Farms – Parks Canada Sustainable Tourism Award
Celebrated for environmental stewardship and the development of meaningful, sustainable tourism experiences.

In addition to these honours, TIANS also presented the 2025 Pineapple Awards, recognizing exceptional service and individuals who go above and beyond to enrich visitor experiences.

This year’s Pineapple Award recipients include:

Cathy and Everett Lamey – Cabot Trail Motel

Kris Reid – Amherst Travelodge

Stephanie Wessoleck – Albert’s Inn

Stephen Thibault – Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa

These award winners represent the innovation, hospitality, and commitment that drives our industry forward.
