Destination Canada Destination Dialogues is a virtual event designed to inspire, inform and empower rural destination development professionals, and inspire innovation in communities.
In collaboration with the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC), this year’s session will focus on Indigenous tourism, featuring presentations from Indigenous experience hosts across Canada.
Set for October 8 at 9am PT| 12pm ET, this free 90-minute session will explore how destinations, businesses, and community leaders, especially in rural, remote, northern and indigenous communities across Canada, can turn local knowledge, culture, and creativity into regenerative tourism experiences. This planning stage is critical—and full of questions:
- What makes an idea viable and compelling?
- How do you design with both visitors and community in mind?
- What does “export-ready” really mean, and how do you get there?
- Who can help bring an idea to life?
Following the webinar will be an interactive two-hour workshop led by Tansi Tourism Solutions, starting at 11:00am PT | 2:00pm ET. Through additional presentations, case studies and breakout sessions, the workshop will further explore the process of creating unique tourism experiences and community-specific solutions, and allow for connection and sharing with peers.
