Enhancing Visitor Accessibility via the Canada Strong Pass

Wednesday, June 24, 2026

Nova Scotia’s museums are opening their doors again this summer to inspire the next generation. From June 19 to September 7, children aged 17 and under receive free admission to all 16 Nova Scotia Museum sites and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, while young adults (18–24) enjoy a 50% discount.

Part of the federal Canada Strong Pass initiative, this program makes our province’s diverse cultural and natural heritage more accessible to families and young travelers. Whether visiting the Firefighters’ Museum in Yarmouth or the Fundy Geological Museum in Parrsboro, visitors receive these benefits automatically upon arrival—no physical pass is required.

By sharing these reduced-cost entry options, tourism business operators can help visitors better plan their itineraries and engage more deeply with the stories that define Nova Scotia.
