A popular tourism textbook, The Tourism System, has featured Tourism Nova Scotia’s strategic plan as a positive case study for successful destination marketing.
In one of its “Quick Trip” case studies, the textbook provides an overview of “Driving Export Revenue,” and highlights how Tourism Nova Scotia is working closely with stakeholders to help achieve our industry’s goal of reaching $4 billion in tourism revenue by 2024. Our focus on developing and marketing world-class experiences is touted as one of the strengths of our plan.
The Tourism System, 8th Edition, was written by Alastair M. Morrison, Xinran You Lehto and Jonathan Day, and published by Kendall Hunt Publishing Company in Iowa. The textbook will be used by tourism and hospitality students in Canada and the United States.
