Provincial Campgrounds Bookings Begin in April with New Reservation System

Friday, March 12, 2021

The Department of Lands and Forestry will open reservations for provincial campgrounds beginning in April. A new provincial parks website and upgraded reservation service will make it easier to find and book a campsite this year.

Most camping and day-use parks are scheduled to open Victoria Day weekend starting May 21, with others opening in June. A schedule of which campgrounds open their reservations and at what time is posted on the Nova Scotia Provincial Parks website. Campers will be able to view the upgraded reservation system starting in late March, and they must create a new account in advance of making a reservation.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, public health restrictions may change the start time of reservations, park openings and services offered. All campers will have to reserve their campsites in advance and only registered campers can enter provincial campgrounds. For up-to-date information, go to https://parks.novascotia.ca .
