Tuesday, June 2, 2026

Nova Scotia’s tourism industry had much to celebrate at Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) 2026, Canada’s premier international travel trade marketplace. Team Nova Scotia joined tourism leaders from across the country to showcase the province’s visitor experiences, build new business relationships and create opportunities to attract more international visitors to Nova Scotia.

This year marked an important milestone, with Team Nova Scotia bringing its largest delegation to date to RVC. The delegation included 24 representatives from 16 Nova Scotia tourism businesses and organizations, reflecting the province’s continued investment in travel trade development and export growth.

Co-produced by Destination Canada and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, RVC brings together Canadian tourism businesses and international buyers from key markets around the world. At the 2026 event, more than 1,400 delegates gathered to participate in thousands of business appointments focused on growing international tourism opportunities.

Throughout the marketplace, Nova Scotia delegates met with international buyers, travel advisors and tour operators to strengthen existing partnerships, establish new connections, and showcase the province’s export-ready tourism experiences.

The event concluded with the announcement that Halifax will host Rendez-vous Canada 2029, providing an opportunity to welcome international buyers and tourism professionals to Nova Scotia and further showcase the province on the global stage.

Many of the Nova Scotia businesses attending RVC have strengthened their travel trade expertise through Tourism Nova Scotia’s EXPORT Travel Trade Program. The program’s Travel Trade Readiness stream helps operators develop the knowledge, sales strategies, and industry relationships needed to work successfully with tour operators, travel advisors, and wholesalers.

The program’s Marketplace Support stream helps export-ready businesses attend events such as RVC by offsetting registration costs, enabling more operators to build valuable business relationships, secure new contracts, and grow their presence in international markets.

Together, Rendez-vous Canada and the EXPORT Travel Trade Program are helping Nova Scotia tourism businesses strengthen their international reach, drive export growth, and attract more visitors to the province throughout the year.
