The Nova Scotia Government is seeking input on the Proposed Built Environment Accessibility Standard.
Standards are needed to help improve accessibility and the Proposed Built Environment Accessibility Standard will be Nova Scotia's first accessibility standard. The standard aims to address barriers to accessibility in the places people visit, live, work, learn, and play. This includes buildings and outdoor spaces such as trails, parks, and beaches.
You can learn more about the standard and offer your comments online, Public Review of the Proposed Built Environment Accessibility Standard | Nova Scotia Accessibility Directorate Engagements (accessibility-engagement.ca). The deadline for participation is October 30.
