Like everyone in the tourism industry, Tourism Nova Scotia has had to adapt our activities and strategies to fit within the evolving tourism environment in the wake of COVID-19. That includes developing a new marketing approach for 2020 focused on kickstarting tourism recovery as people begin to move around again while respecting public health guidelines.
Tourism Nova Scotia has a six-phase marketing approach to support the strongest possible recovery for Nova Scotia’s tourism industry.

We know travel is going to begin local with Nova Scotians exploring their own province, and then expand to regional markets. Our international markets will be the last to open. We are conducting our own research working with our marketing agency of record, Destination Canada and Google to ensure we have the appropriate insights to help us identify the right time to go into the right markets with the right message. We are developing the marketing campaigns now, and we’ll be ready to launch when the time is right.
