Tourism Week Highlights Tourism Industry Achievements

Wednesday, May 30, 2018

In every region of our province, the tourism industry is creating jobs, attracting export revenue and contributing to the vibrancy and sustainability of our communities.  From May 27 to June 1, Tourism Nova Scotia is highlighting the industry’s economic contribution for Tourism Week.

Organized by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), Tourism Week promotes awareness of our dynamic industry’s significant contribution to the Canadian economy.

Nova Scotia’s tourism industry has embraced an ambitious goal to reach $4 billion in tourism revenue by 2024. To meet this goal, tourism operators and stakeholders are thinking creatively, learning from one another, and making investments to capitalize on business opportunities.

We’ll be sending  shout outs to tourism businesses and industry stakeholders during Tourism Week.  Follow us on Twitter at @TourismNS, and tweet about your success stories or how tourism benefits your community.
