Congratulations Anna Moran!

Tourism Nova Scotia is happy to announce we have established a Research and Policy Division, new this year. The research and policy team will be led by Anna Moran, former Manager, in her new role as Director.

Reporting to the CEO, Anna will provide advice and inform the strategic direction and priorities for Tourism Nova Scotia. In addition to leading the organization’s research programs, Anna will lead key corporate initiatives, including strategic and business planning processes, and serve as a key liaison between Tourism Nova Scotia and the Department of Business.

Welcome Bonnie MacDougall!
 
Bonnie MacDougall has joined the new research and policy team as Senior Research Analyst. Bonnie holds a PhD in social psychology, and has extensive experience in data analytics. She is well-versed in all aspects of market research project management, having worked at Corporate Research Associates for the past ten years.

Welcome Afton Doubleday!
 
Afton Doubleday has joined the communications team as Communications Advisor. Afton has a background in media and communications, and most recently worked for Member of Parliament for Halifax West, Geoff Regan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Canada Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Bachelor of Journalism from University of Kings College. Afton is familiar with the tourism industry, having worked at the Halifax Waterfront Visitor Information Centre from 2007 to 2009. Welcome back Afton!

Welcome Meghan Lloyd!

Meghan Lloyd has joined the market development team as Market Development Specialist (North America). Meghan will be responsible for carrying out Tourism Nova Scotia’s sales objectives by leading market development programming through our business to business strategy supporting the North American market (Canada and the Northeastern US). Meghan has over 24 years of experience working in the tourism and hospitality industry, and holds a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management with a major in Tourism Development from Mount Saint Vincent University.

Welcome Judy Lynch!

Judy Lynch has joined the experience development team as Tourism Development Advisor. Judy holds a business degree from Mount Saint Vincent University with a major in management and a minor in marketing, as well as a tourism and travel management diploma from Holland College. She brings over 10 years of experience providing guidance and advice to individual clients, aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners. She most recently worked as a Business Counsellor with the Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre, where she worked one-on-one with clients through the development process—from idea generation and exploration to business planning, assessment of viability, and implementation.
