Michele Saran, CEO of Tourism Nova Scotia contributed an op-ed to the Chronicle Herald in honour of National Tourism Week. In it, she called on Nova Scotians to act as ambassadors and champion tourism in our province.
She said, “Every community in Nova Scotia has the opportunity to rally around your own unique selling points and create a destination that will draw visitors and also make your community an attractive place to live and work. And it’s not just about accommodations or tour companies. Tourism includes your coffee shops and restaurants, your boutiques, artists and artisans, your gas stations and your local historical society.”
