Monday, September 13, 2021

Let’s roll out the welcome mat for travellers seeking the ultimate fall get away in Nova Scotia this year! Tourism Nova Scotia has launched new ads to encourage travellers to keep exploring Nova Scotia this season. You can help travellers plan their trips and attract customers in the shoulder season by updating your online profile with fall hours, packages, and special offerings.

Here are three ways to use your online profile to attract customers this fall:

  1. Update your business hours – Visitors want reliable information to help plan their trip. Let people know when you’re open and what your hours are. Update your website, NovaScotia.com business listing, Google Business listing, social media, etc. You can send updates for your NovaScotia.com listing to Stephanie Wadden, Digital Marketing Coordinator, at stephanie.wadden@novascotia.ca
  2. Upload fall packages to NovaScotia.com and share them on your website/booking platforms – You can add packages on NovaScotia.com at no cost using the online Partner Portal. Consider offering a package that highlights fall activities, events, and flavours to help your customers make the most of the pumpkin spice season!
  3. Share some fall photos to remind travellers how spectacular your spot is as the leaves change- Nova Scotia is full of vibrant colours, culture and flavours this time of year. Share some photos on your website and social media to show people how cozy your business can be, or how exciting it can be to get out and explore with you in the fall. Tourism businesses and organizations can also access Tourism Nova Scotia's online library of photos and videos and share fall content featuring your community.

There is pent-up demand for travel to Nova Scotia and international travellers are now able to visit. Take advantage of this opportunity to extend your season and draw in customers with online marketing that showcases why this is the perfect time to travel in Nova Scotia.
