Reminder: Provincial Visitor Information Centres Operating on Winter Schedules

The provincial visitor information centres (VICs) located at the Halifax Waterfront, Peggy’s Cove, Port Hastings, and Yarmouth operate on seasonal schedules, when demand for visitor services is highest. The Halifax International Airport and Amherst centres, located at key entry points, and the Tourism Contact Centre operate year-round.

Winter hours for the provincial visitor information centres are as follows:

The Halifax Convention Centre Visitor Info Booth
Tourism Nova Scotia’s visitor information booth at the Halifax Convention Centre will continue to operate during national and international events throughout the winter. This visitor information booth is a pilot initiative set to run until May 31, 2020.

Community-run Visitor Centres
In addition to operating the six provincial visitor information centres, the tourism contact centre, and the Halifax Convention Centre booth, Tourism Nova Scotia provides funding to more than 50 community-run visitor centres. Click here to view a list of community-run visitor centres.
