Tourism Nova Scotia Visitor Services Update

Given the advice of public health officials, year-around visitor information centres (VICs) in Amherst and the Halifax Stanfield International Airport were closed in March, and the seasonal VICs at Halifax Waterfront, Peggy’s Cove, Port Hastings and Yarmouth delayed opening, until further notice.

Work is currently underway to ensure the provincial VICs can safely re-open under public health guidelines and protocols. This work includes installation of plexiglass barriers, new signage and wayfinding materials, and enhanced cleaning protocols. We anticipate re-opening to occur in early July. Further details, including updated contact and shipping information, will be shared once re-opening dates are confirmed.

The Tourism Contact Centre is open, providing trip counselling services and travel advice via telephone and email. The Tourism Contact Centre can be reached at:

The Doers and Dreamers travel guide is available to be mailed out within Nova Scotia. Anyone can go to Nova Scotia’s official travel website, Nova Scotia.com, to download an e-version or complete an order form.
