Enplanements

Enplanements include the number of people boarding planes at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, and J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport. Enplanement numbers include visitors to Nova Scotia, residents of Nova Scotia and travellers transferring to other flights.

Year-to-date July, 2026, enplanements at Halifax Stanfield International Airport have increased by 9% compared with 2025. Enplanements at J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport are down 1% from 2025.

In 2025, Halifax Stanfield International Airport saw 2.1 million passengers board airplanes, a year-over-year increase of 4%. Enplanements of 54,000 at J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport increased by 14% compared with 2024.
