The 2026-27 Festival & Community Event Development Program is now open. The program is designed to help sustain, grow, or improve unique community festivals and events across Nova Scotia.

Program funds are intended to support a single component of an event taking place between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027. For example, funds can be used to support Nova Scotian artist fees or event marketing costs. Funds are not designed to support numerous operational components of an event.
 
The average amount allotted to successful applicants each year is approximately $3200. This is a competitive, juried program meaning not all applications will be successful.
 
If your organization received program funds in 2025-26, please ensure you have submitted a final report within 60 days of your event’s completion. Further funding from the department cannot be processed until a final report has been submitted and approved.
 
The deadline to apply is Friday, February 27, 2026, at 4:00 pm AST.
