New Campaign Encourages Nova Scotians to Show their Local Love

Friday, February 4, 2022

Tourism Nova Scotia launched a new ad campaign today, February 4, 2022, to encourage Nova Scotians to safely enjoy activities and support local businesses while following public health guidelines.

The “Show Your Local Love” campaign features shopping, dining, spas, outdoor activities, and local getaways. It’s a reminder that there are plenty of ways to have fun in Nova Scotia right now, while staying safe.

The campaign includes TV, radio, digital display, video and audio ads, social media and paid search tactics and will run until the end of March.

Three digital display ads featuring people shopping, eating take out and at accommodations. Text says Show Your Local Love. Stay safe and support local businesses this winter.

The Wintervention campaign that was paused in December due to the situation with COVID-19 was revived in February in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador in February and will run until March 31.  As we’ve done throughout the pandemic, we will continue to adapt our marketing campaigns to fit the right tone and message for the current situation.

Show Your Local Love ads direct people to a landing page on NovaScotia.com where they can find local travel experiences, activities, packages, and accommodations. We encourage tourism businesses to make sure their business information is up to date on NovaScotia.com, including any winter packages, so you can take advantage of this marketing campaign.
