Digital Content Marketing Program

Collaborate with Tourism Nova Scotia to create high-quality videos and photos to use in your marketing or to develop digital marketing campaigns to raise awareness of your business or community. 

Participants work with Tourism Nova Scotia to identify shared goals for projects through the Digital Content Marketing Program and determine a budget. The minimum partner investment for digital marketing partners is $7,500 plus a 15% media buying fee (total $8,625). The minimum partner investment for content creation is $10,000. Tourism Nova Scotia will match partner investments.

Digital marketing partners benefit from:

  • Tailored online marketing campaigns managed by Tourism Nova Scotia
  • Tactics may include social media advertising, search engine marketing, display and video advertising including use of our remarketing lists

Content partners benefit from:

  • New high-quality photos, b-roll video, or finished video to use in your marketing
  • Photos and videos featuring your business or community may be used in Tourism Nova Scotia’s marketing campaigns, giving you more visibility

The Digital Content Marketing Program is open to tourism businesses and organizations in Nova Scotia. You can submit one application for digital marketing, content creation, or both.

Digital Content Marketing Program Highlights 2022/23

The Digital Content Marketing Program enables Tourism Nova Scotia to collaborate with communities, tourism organizations and businesses to promote Nova Scotia. We capture enticing photos and videos that help make people feel excited about travelling in Nova Scotia and use them in digital marketing campaigns. Watch some highlights from our work in 2022-23 to see what we can accomplish when we work together.

 

A local's view of Halifax

Created in partnership with Discover Halifax, this video explores what makes Halifax a spectacular place from the perspective of locals. The video was used in social media ads on both Tourism Nova Scotia’s and Discover Halifax’s channels. During the shoot, we were also able to capture images and b-roll that are used throughout our marketing materials and available to our tourism partners to use in their marketing. The Digital Content Marketing Program creates partnerships that support  both regional and provincial marketing initiatives.

Discover some of Nova Scotia's best beaches

This list-style video uses content captured through shoots with several Digital Content Marketing Partners, including Discover Halifax, Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores, Pictou Lodge, The Municipality of East Hants, Parks Canada Cape Breton, and Develop Nova Scotia. It was cut for social media and used in Tourism Nova Scotia’s digital marketing campaigns to highlight the incredible beaches found throughout the province. Our partners received content specific to their communities, while also being included in our broader content. When you participate in the Digital Content Marketing Program, you have an opportunity to have your content featured in our ads, giving you more visibility.

Joggins Fossil Cliffs, Nova Scotia

This short video highlighting visitor experiences at Joggins Fossil Cliff was used for Tourism Nova Scotia digital ads. The video was produced by Tourism Nova Scotia’s marketing agency of record, and made available to the Joggins Fossil Institute. Great content created through the program allows us to showcase Nova Scotia’s unique attractions and gives our partners quality images and videos to use in their marketing.
