Program Overview

To be competitive, a tourism business needs a strong website that makes it easy for people to find out what they offer and make a purchase. 
 
Through the Website Bootcamp Program, you’ll get an up-to-date website and the skills and confidence to manage content on your website easily. There are two ways you can participate: 

Website Management Stream –work with experts from Arbuckle Media to update an existing website on Shopify, WordPress or Squarespace and develop your website management skills. 

Website Creation Stream –work with experts from Boostflow to create a brand-new website on the Wix platform and learn the skills to easy update content going forward. 

Selected participants will:

  • Walk away with either a brand-new website or a refreshed website and strategy for improving website performance
  • Receive training on creating effective website content, search engine optimization, website analytics, and more

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Work with digital experts to create a new website or refresh an existing website and learn the skills to confidently manage your website going forward. Priority will be given to small and medium sized tourism businesses whose primary focus is attracting and servicing visitors.

To participate, apply online via the DigiPort online resource centre for tourism businesses.

Applications will continue to be accepted up until the beginning of the program in late winter 2022.

Digital Nova Scotia is the industry association for Nova Scotia’s $2.5 billion ICT and digital technologies sector, representing over 230 members, including start-ups, small and medium enterprises, multinational corporations, government, post-secondary institutions, and more. 

About DigiPort 

Delivered in partnership between Tourism Nova Scotia and Digital Nova Scotia, DigiPort is an online centre where tourism businesses and organizations can connect with qualified digital service providers and access articles, videos, tip sheets, webinars and more to help you be more visible online, reach more potential customers, and close the sale. Applications for the Website Bootcamp Program will be submitted through DigiPort and applicants will receive communication and appointment/training schedules through their DigiPort account.
