The Bluenose 100 Committee is hosting a virtual celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the launching of Bluenose on March 26.

The first event of the day kicks off online at 10:00 a.m. - the exact time Bluenose was launched - and will feature exciting new videos, stories, historical footage and interviews explaining the vessel’s place in Canadian history.

The second event begins at 7:00 p.m. and will explore the story of Bluenose through musicians, performers and writers.

These celebrations mark the beginning of a series of events throughout the year, in conjunction with local and national partners, to highlight the achievements of the famed schooner and its importance in Nova Scotian and Canadian history.
