Another leading travel magazine in the United States is calling attention to the natural beauty and unique experiences of Cape Breton Island.

CNN Travel named Cape Breton Island third on its 2022 list of the best global destinations to visit. While noting that the COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges for travel, the online publication shared a list of destinations that can “channel a sense of wonder if and when we're able to travel in 2022 and beyond.”

In addition to the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Fortress Louisbourg, CNN Travel highlighted opportunities for visitors to immerse themselves in Mi'kmaq traditions in one of the island's five Mi'kmaq communities.
