Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) is Canada’s premier international travel and tourism marketplace. Every year, the event brings together over 1,800 tourism professionals from around the world to meet one-on-one to promote, buy, and sell the best of Canada’s travel products. RVC is co-managed and produced by Destination Canada and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada in partnership with the host destination. The 43rd annual RVC will be hosted by Tourism Nova Scotia at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia from May 13 to 16, 2018. This marks the first time Nova Scotia has hosted the event since 2002!
RVC 2018 is seeking volunteers who are enthusiastic ambassadors of Nova Scotia and have an interest in the tourism sector and supporting RVC 2018. There are many roles to fill including airport greeters, information booth hosts, tour hosts and “behind the scenes” jobs, such as kit stuffing, gift sorting and more. Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of one full day between May 7 and May 17, 2018. Volunteers will be outfitted in recognizable clothing and will participate in relevant training related to their volunteer roles at the event.
This is a great opportunity to interact and network with some of the world’s most influential travel buyers and sellers, and to work alongside colleagues and industry partners in Nova Scotia as a part of the best hosting team ever assembled!
