Introducing the Compelling Tourism Communities Marketing Suite of Programs!
The Community Content Development Program partners with communities to create high quality photos and videos to support advertising campaigns, websites, and social media.
In 2022, Tourism Nova Scotia created 28 videos from existing footage and shot 95 new photos so communities have content to inspire travellers to visit. This year, we are working with nine partners to focus on capturing content to fill marketing gaps.
Through the Community Digital Marketing Program, we partnered with over 20 communities to create marketing campaigns for summer, fall and winter. Campaigns run in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. By leveraging content created with past partnership programs, the goal is to drive awareness of lesser-known communities during the peak season as well as the fall and winter to help extend the travel season.
Through the Community Travel Media & Editorial Program, we invite travel journalists and influencers to explore areas of our province and immerse themselves in unique activities, attractions, and accommodations. In turn, they create images, videos, blog posts, and social media content showcasing communities. We also work directly with publishers to create editorial content by placing compelling stories about communities in print and online to keep the province top of mind as a travel destination.
By working with communities to create engaging and brand aligned content, we have the assets needed to help drive visitation and increase tourism spending across Nova Scotia communities.
