Tourism Nova Scotia launched a new marketing campaign on June 25 encouraging Nova Scotians to explore the province and support local tourism businesses.
Our marketing strategy for 2020 is focused on driving as much tourism recovery as possible following the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve shifted our focus to regional markets that currently have access to the province and will continue to expand marketing efforts as other key markets reopen.
Tourism Nova Scotia's Rediscover Nova Scotia campaign is focused on helping people envision the incredible things they can do on a Nova Scotia vacation by highlighting unique places and experiences.
The campaign includes television ads, digital banner ads and videos, search marketing and social media tactics that feature photos and videos created with local operators. The ads feature a brand-new cover of the beloved song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by local musician, Jennah Barry.
As Nova Scotia reopens its borders to our Maritime neighbours, Tourism Nova Scotia will begin the next phase of the 2020 marketing campaign to announce that Nova Scotia is open for business. The Atlantic campaign will go live on July 3. The Atlantic campaign includes two parts – We’re Open messaging to let people know it is time to visit and Do More messaging to showcase the exciting places to go and things to do throughout the province.
Get Involved
We’ve created tools to help our industry partners get involved in the campaigns, including a toolkit and logo package so you can integrate the campaign logos into your marketing. Remember to use the hashtags #RediscoverNovaScotia and #VisitNovaScotia on your social media posts for an opportunity to have your content featured on Tourism Nova Scotia’s channels.
