Upcoming Virtual Workshops: Basic Graphic Design Using Canva

Wednesday, January 5, 2022

Join Tourism Nova Scotia and Digital Nova Scotia for two virtual workshops on basic graphic design using Canva. You’ll come away with an understanding of branding consistency and graphic design concepts, as well as skills to create projects using the Canva design platform. These workshops will be led by Amy Harrison of Pixels and Pieces Design.

Canva Level 1

The first workshop will take you through branding basics outlining the graphic design concepts of readability, hierarchy, and consistency. The workshop includes a hands-on step-by-step Canva exercise using a template.

Date: Thursday, January 13
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Canva Level 2

In the second workshop, you will work through a hands-on step-by-step Canva project without a template. The workshop will focus on the graphic design concepts of symmetry, balance, and space.

Date: Thursday, January 20
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Please note, attendance capacity is limited to ensure participants can fully benefit from the instructional style of this workshop. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis, and when capacity has been reached, registration will be closed. Successful registrants will receive a confirmation email from Zoom with the event link.

These workshops are offered in partnership between Tourism Nova Scotia and Digital Nova Scotia through DigiPort, a one-stop-shop of interactive services and educational opportunities to help tourism businesses develop digital marketing skills and access professional support to improve their online presence.
