This webinar will show you how to understand your product on a global scale and target the customers who are the best fit for your business, develop an ongoing travel trade sales and marketing plan, and attract new partnerships with the travel trade as well as manage existing partnerships. You will also learn how to determine your best opportunities based on your budget.

In this webinar you will learn best practices for engaging with travel agents and tour operators and how to plan for sales calls either virtually or in person. You will review how to structure a presentation including unique selling points and how your product fits into the traveller's entire Atlantic Canadian experience. The webinar will also provide the do’s and don’t on sales calls or group trade missions, including reaching out, engaging and next steps.

These webinars build on the information provided through the Travel Trade Readiness Workshops, and will provide helpful information for both new and experienced tourism operators. Operators who are new to working with the travel trade would benefit from viewing this introductory webinar, or downloading the Travel Trade Readiness Toolkit in advance of the webinars.

The webinars will be led by Eva Gutsche, Managing Director of STEM Consulting & Marketing Inc. Eva provides a variety of consulting and facilitation services assisting hospitality & tourism businesses in increasing performance. Eva’s hands on experience as a tourism supplier and 18 years of facilitation experience helps workshop participants relate and apply the content.
