In June 2020, Destination Canada conducted a survey of Canadians regarding their intentions to travel both within Canada and internationally. The Canada Travel Intentions Research identifies the key factors that will encourage travel and includes helpful information for tourism businesses about the safety practices travellers consider to be important.
The survey largely confirms that local and regional travel is, and at least in the near term will continue to be, Nova Scotia’s primary source of visitors. It also confirms that travellers will tend to seek the familiar.

These research results reinforce the importance of clearly communicating the steps your business is taking to ensure cleanliness and safety for your customers. Make sure you outline what safety protocols are in place at every step of the customer’s interaction with you.
