Nova Scotia welcomed 331,000 non-resident visitors in August 2022, a 42% increase (99,000 more visitors) compared with the same month in 2021, and a decline of 20% (83,000 fewer visitors) compared with August 2019.

Please note, with the cooperation of the J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport in Sydney, we are now adding enplanements at the Sydney airport to our indicators document.

In an effort to provide the statistics as quickly as possible, we are making visitation data available while we wait for sufficient data from operators to be able to report accommodation statistics. We will publish accommodation statistics as soon as they are available.
